What do the Friends of the Burdekin Theatre do?

• Welcome audiences with a smile by ushering and checking tickets at events.
• Run the patron coffee bar to keep theatre-goers refreshed.
• Fundraise by selling raffle tickets in the foyer.

Your Efforts Make a Big Impact

The funds raised by the Friends team have helped purchase essential Theatre equipment, including:

• The LED street sign that brightens the entrance.
• The three LED TV Screens in the Theatre Foyer
• Cutting-edge lighting and sound equipment.
• Kitchen upgrades, a lectern, and more!

Special Initiatives You Can Be Part Of:

• Morning Melodies Magic: Host free morning tea at 10am for patrons attending our Morning Melodies events.
• Supporting Young Talent: During the annual Burdekin Junior Eisteddfod, the Friends provide bursaries for local youth to attend Summer School and advance their skills in the arts.
• Bringing Kids to the Theatre: The Friends sponsor buses so local school children can experience the joy of live children’s shows.
